POLICIES & PROCEDURES

It is with my greatest intent to provide the public with safe, professional and therapeutic practice(s). As a massage therapist, my number one priority is to create a treatment plan with you that meets your needs. Which could be; to decrease pain, promote relaxation, increase blood circulation, and/or reduce muscle tension. I will do my absolute best in listening and providing a therapeutic relationship between you (the client) and I (the therapist). The following policy is in place as a reference for every client, first time and/or return clients. Thank you for your business.

My Range of Commute
As a traveling massage therapist, I am serving areas in and around RDU (Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill-Cary-Garner-Smithfield and neighboring towns).  For any towns or cities beyond what is listed, you and I can negotiate travel expenses.  

Arrival time at your place of Residence
I'll arrive at least 15 to 20 minutes before your scheduled appointment time, which allows plenty of time for set-up and to converse about your health history, goals and to collect your method of payment.

  • Hot Stone Massage Therapy: $130
  • Himalayan Salt Stone: $130

HIPAA and Protecting Client Privacy
I have the utmost respect for client safety and confidentiality. Your privacy is most important and what you share, will remain with me. Our conversation(s) while you’re on the table will be client guided, as I will listen while providing your therapeutic massage.

Hygiene. Client and Therapist
I ask that clients refrain from smoking at least one hour before your appointment begins as cigarette smoke could stain the massage table. Clients are asked to be mindful of heavy fragrance usage as this could cause a headache which could potentially affect your massage.

Sick or flu-like symptoms
If you're experiencing flu-like symptoms please call or email as soon as possible so that we can reschedule your appointment. If your temperature exceeds 99 and you're experiencing; chills, sweating, vomiting and/or aches please notify me.

Respect for client and Therapist boundaries
If I feel that at any time a client is being inappropriate or making sexual advances, I will terminate the massage and immediately leave. Also, you will not be refunded. Let's build a comfortable and respectful environment for us both.

My Scope of Practice
As a massage therapist it is not in my scope of practice to diagnose or to give prognosis. I can only recommend that you visit your doctor.

Cancellation Policy
Please be courteous and provide at least a 24 hour notice if you are to cancel your appointment. I ask that you cancel within the allotted time, so that we can reschedule your appointment, which prevents an unnecessary drive.   

Late Arrival Policy and No Show
Please contact me as soon as possible if you're running late and we'll adjust your time 

Informed Consent
Once you’ve read the policy and before your treatment plan begins. I’ll ask that you sign consent. Your signed consent acknowledges that you agree to terms and conditions of my policy. Initially, each new client will need to give consent, return clients will only need to update their consent after one year has passed.

Massage Environment in your home
Please provide a stress free environment, meaning; removal of pets, children, clutter and silencing one's phone. Since massage therapy is much like an athletic sport, I would be so grateful if your thermostat is set to a comfortable climate. Creating a functional environment and decreasing distractions will provide more time in your session.

My Ideology
I strongly believe that the best way for us to achieve a positive therapeutic outcome is that both client and therapist must work as a unit like a team. This is the goal and concept behind Kel’s Mobile Massage.
